It was 1957, after 10 years of Independence, there was some one in electrical field still thinking of “ Make in India”

Switches and fuse units were then imported from Great Britain and sold on a high premium. Yet there was a big gap in the demand and supply position.

Mr. Jamnadas Vora finally ventured into making switchgears in a small garage at Matunga a suburb of Bombay under lot of constraints in the brand name “ BOSMA”

Maintaining strict quality control at every stage starting from procurement of raw materials to finished products complete for marketing, made a name and place in the Indian field of electrical Switchgear and “BOSMA” became a household name.

In keeping pace with the change in Science and Technology and developing fields, technocrats as well as entrepreneur work continuously to bridge the gap between the demand generated by the users and the latest developments to provide protection, usability and quality. In order to expand and to better its activities, the group shifted its activities to VADODARA in 1984.

In Vadodara the group has acquired one lac square feet area of land in Makarpura GIDC Industrial Estate. It houses all facilities for testing raw materials, components and finished goods.
